Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Biomarker Sample Operations Associate for a role located in Lake County, IL. This 2-year contract requires a Bachelor or Master’s degree and hands-on biomarker sample management experience in clinical trials.

Responsibilities include receiving, accessioning, tracking, processing, storing, and shipping samples using StarLIMS, coordinating analyses, overseeing storage equipment, and ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP. On-site, day shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree required.
• 3+ years experience in project management with clinical trial experience, biomarkers and oncology.
• Experience with clinical biology/ biomarker sample management.
• Experience with LIMS or Sample Tracking Systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, track, process, store, and ship biomarker samples using StarLIMS and other sample tracking systems.
• Coordinate sample analysis and data transfers, reconcile records, and monitor storage equipment.
• Support vendor oversight, drive sample tracking system improvements, and ensure timely shipment of samples.
• Ensure compliance with ICH/GCP, biorepository procedures and biosample management best practices.

Job description

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Biomarker Sample Operations Associate for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lake County, IL, 60064. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay: $36.00-38.00/hr to start.
• 2-year contract to start with the possibility of extension to conversion based on budget and performance.
• Shift: Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
• Position will mainly be responsible for receiving, accessioning, tracking, processing, storing, and shipping biomarker samples using StarLIMS and other sample tracking systems.
• Responsibilities also include coordinating sample analysis and data transfers, reconciling sample and database records, monitoring refrigerator, ultralow, and LN2 storage equipment, managing laboratory vendors, and ensuring timely shipment and resolution of sample-related issues.
• Position will also be responsible for supporting vendor oversight, contributing to sample tracking system and process improvements, and ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP, biorepository procedures, biosample management best practices, and applicable regulations while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masters degree is required.
