Job summary

Oklahoma City Community College is inviting applications for a Biology Science Center TAP Tutor. The role supports students with lecture and lab material in the Biology Science Center and online via Zoom.

A grade of C or better in at least one biology course with a lab is required, and 10–25 hours per week with a flexible daytime/evening schedule including Saturdays is available. Responsibilities include assisting biology lab assistants with lab prep and cleaning, and ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• Must have a grade of C or better in at least one biology course with a lab.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, materials and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English to individuals or groups.
• Ability to explain science concepts to students with no prior knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with lecture and lab material during scheduled hours.
• Assist biology lab assistants with lab prep and cleaning.
• Maintain safety and health procedures in the biology lab.
