Job summary

Oklahoma City Community College is seeking a Biology Science Center Tutor - Student to assist students with lecture and lab material during scheduled hours, including potential Zoom tutoring. This role supports safety practices and lab operations within the Biology Science Center.

Qualified applicants are current OCCC students with at least a C in a biology lab course and ability to explain concepts. Hours are 10–25 per week with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for Fall or Spring, or 3 hours for Summer.
• Grade of C or better in at least one biology course with a lab.
• Ability to communicate lab concepts to students and explain procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with lecture and lab material during scheduled hours in the Biology Science Center.
• Assist students in individual lab exercises.
• Follow safety and health regulations for handling hazardous chemicals and infectious organisms.
• Operate, maintain, and explain the use of equipment in the Science Center.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule assigned by the Science Center Supervisor.
