Job summary

Slippery Rock University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology beginning August 2027. Qualifications

• Broadly trained microbiologist with PhD completed by July 1, 2027.
• Evidence of professional competence and ability to work with students and colleagues.
• Commitment to education of diverse populations.
• Successful performance in on-campus interview including teaching and research presentation.

Responsibilities

• Teach Microbiology and Introductory Majors Biology courses.
• Teach introductory and advanced biology major courses and general education courses as needed.
• Establish and maintain an undergraduate research program mentoring students.
• Engage in scholarly growth and participate in department and university service.
