Responsibilities

• Administers and develops subject-specific assessments to measure student competency and inform learning plans.
• Advises parents/guardians of student progress to communicate expectations and improvement methods.
• Assesses student progress toward standards and goals, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborates with instructional staff and parents to improve student outcomes and support the school improvement plan.
• Counsels students to improve performance, health, and problem-solving skills.
• Instructs students to improve academic success through a defined course of study.
• Manages student behavior to maintain a safe, optimal learning environment.
• Monitors students across various environments to ensure safety.
• Prepares written materials (grades, lesson plans, correspondence) documenting progress.
• Reports incidents and adheres to state laws and board policies for safety.
• Responds to emergencies and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Directs teacher assistants and other staff to support classroom programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned and demonstrates technology integration.
