Qualifications

  • Be fully admitted to a graduate program (not provisional or non-degree).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Enrolled in courses each term of the assistantship.
  • Meet specific credit hour and subject requirements for teaching or lab roles.
  • Non-native English speakers must demonstrate language proficiency.
  • Research assistants must complete Responsible Conduct in Research training.
  • Work up to 20 hours per week, depending on the appointment.
  • May have teaching or research assignments, or provide administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead three 60-minute interactive study sessions each week.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and maintain communication with their faculty member.
  • Complete training prior to the semester's start and attend meetings with the BioPM team and faculty as necessary.
  • Join faculty-led review sessions during lab hours.
  • Innovatively promote and advertise their BioPM sessions to students.
  • Assist students in building self-confidence and enhancing their study skills.
