Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking a Learning Assistant to support biology courses for pre-major biology and pre-health science students. You will help instructors deliver engaging classroom and lab activities, provide peer tutoring, and assist with course preparation.

Hours range from 2 to 20 per week, depending on curricular needs. You must be eligible for Federal Work Study for 2026-2027, enrolled in at least 6 credits, and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA while supporting diverse student

Qualifications

• Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall and Spring semesters.
• Completion of BIOL course with a B or above.
• Eligible for Federal Work Study for 2026-2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructors in delivering learning experiences in biology courses.
• Provide peer tutoring and assist with course preparation.
• Maintain and organize Canvas spaces and classroom activities.
• Grade formative assessments as assigned.
