Job summary

Northeastern University in Boston is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support cutting-edge research in stress adaptation of extremophilic microalgae. You will work with the Davidi Lab alongside the PI and team to execute experiments, maintain records, and contribute to project milestones.

The ideal candidate holds a biology-related degree and has hands-on molecular biology experience, familiarity with omics techniques, and strong communication and organization skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry; Master’s preferred.
• A GPA of 3.7+ is recommended and strong academic performance.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and protein biochemistry desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experimentation to meet project goals.
• Assist in experimental design and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab and well-documented records.
• Order reagents and small equipment, prepare media solutions, and maintain sterile technique.
• Report research activities at monthly lab meetings.
• May train less experienced personnel.
