Job summary

Under the supervision of the Biology instructor, you will maintain prep areas, support labs during sessions, follow safety protocols, and help with inventory and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting biology faculty with lab preparation and cleanup
• Washing and organizing glassware and lab equipment
• Preparing basic lab materials and supplies
• Stocking/distributing consumables for labs
• Assisting with microbiology media prep and sterilization procedures under supervision
• Maintaining organization of prep rooms and storage areas
• Helping set up microscopes, models, dissections, and lab stations
• Assisting students during lab times when appropriate
• Following laboratory safety and aseptic technique procedures
• Light inventory and supply management
• Supporting science outreach events and departmental activities as needed
