Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks a full-time Biology Instructor based at the Savannah Campus, with possible travel to other campus locations. Typical responsibilities include instructing students, developing program syllabi, goals and objectives; evaluating progress; ensuring learning outcomes are attained and appropriately recorded; maintaining supplies and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology or a Master's with 18 graduate hours in Biology.
• One year of paid teaching experience.
• Excellent human-relations, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students, develop syllabi, goals and objectives.
• Evaluate progress toward attaining goals and objectives.
• Ensure learning outcomes are attained and recorded.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Maintain program certification requirements as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Attend staff development trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences.
• Ensure classroom safety and security requirements.
• Provide academic advisement to students.
