Job summary

State of Georgia invites applications for a full‑time Biology Instructor (12‑month contract) at West Georgia Technical College. The role includes preparing lesson plans, delivering biology theory and practical applications in classroom/lab settings, and developing curricula to meet state standards.

The instructor will evaluate student progress, maintain documentation, support safety, and participate in professional development while delivering face-to-face, hybrid, or on‑campus classes as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Biology or related discipline with 18 hours in teaching required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• PhD in Biology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Biology courses in classroom/lab/field environments.
• Develops program curriculum, syllabi, goals and objectives.
• Performs duties to maintain accreditation and documentation.
• Prepares lesson plans and evaluates student progress.
• Operates classroom/lab equipment safely and keeps facilities clean.
