Albany Technical College in Albany, GA is seeking a full-time Biology Instructor for the Associate of Science Nursing degree programs. The position is based at the Dougherty Campus, with potential travel within the local service delivery area; weekend and evening availability is required.

The instructor will teach Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at the associate degree level, managing ground, online, lab, clinical, and hybrid classes while evaluating student progress and providing tutoring

Qualifications

Must have a Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours/30 graduate quarter hours in the teaching discipline)
MD/DO/DDS/DMD or related clinical doctorates may be considered
Experience teaching at secondary and/or post-secondary levels preferred and ability to work evenings/weekends and travel within local service area

Responsibilities

Instruct Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at the Associate Degree level
Manage dual-enrollment ground, online, lab, clinical, and hybrid classes
Evaluate student progress and provide tutoring to nursing students
Collaborate with department counterparts on curriculum and be willing to serve on cross-functional teams
Prepare and maintain documentation and administrative reports; ensure safety and compliance
