Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Wildlife Science, or a related field (ABD candidates may be considered).
• Commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Ability to direct undergraduate and graduate research.
• Potential and dedication to attract extramural funding.
• Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students from varied socioeconomic/ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory, upper-level undergraduate, and graduate courses as needed based on departmental needs and applicants’ expertise.
• Teach online courses based on departmental needs and applicants’ expertise.
• Direct undergraduate and graduate research.
• Serve on departmental and university committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chairperson and Dean.
• Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member, such as student advising, departmental recruitment and retention activities, public service, etc.
