Job summary

The College of Lake County is looking for an Adjunct Instructor in Biology for a part-time position. The instructor will teach introductory biology courses and is expected to prepare lecture and lesson plans, grade student work, and maintain academic integrity.

Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Biology or a related field, with preference for prior college teaching experience. Responsibilities include developing course materials and providing feedback to students.

This position offers compensation based on a per-load hour schedule and is located at the Grayslake Campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Biology or a related field and demonstrated currency in the field.
• Previous college teaching experience is desired.
• Demonstrated professional learning in evidence-based, student-focused pedagogical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in discipline as scheduled each semester.
• Develop, revise, and maintain instructional materials and course content.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
