Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses including introductory BIOL 1610/1611, 1620/1621, 1630/1631.
• Conduct on-site instruction for the 2026-27 academic year.
• Contribute to course development and student mentoring.

The Department of Biology at Seattle University invitesapplications forAdjunctFacultyon-site positionsfor the 2026-27 academic year, starting in September2026,January 2027, and March 2027. Thesepositionsaretemporary replacementsfor current faculty on sabbatical leaves. We are seekinginstructorsto teachintroductory courses (BIOL 1610+1611, 1620+1621, 1630+1631),majorscourses including genetics, anatomy and physiology, virology, and cell biology, and/ornon-majorscourses on cancer biology or global health.Specific course assignments will bedeterminedbased on the candidate’sexpertiseand departmental needs.Ideal candidates willhaveexpertiseina relevant field ofbiology, a commitment to undergraduate education and teaching excellence, and an advanced degree in Biology or a closely related field (minimum of a master’s degree; Ph.D. preferred).
