Seattle University’s Department of Biology invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty for the 2026–27 academic year, with possible start dates in September 2026, January 2027, and March 2027. Positions are temporary replacements for sabbatical leaves and focus on undergraduate instruction across introductory and majors-level biology courses.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in a relevant field of biology and a commitment to undergraduate education and teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory biology courses (BIOL 1610+1611, 1620+1621, 1630+1631).
• Teach majors courses such as genetics, anatomy and physiology, virology, and cell biology.
• Instructors may teach non-majors courses on cancer biology or global health; course assignments depend on expertise and departmental needs.
