Job description

ERM is hiring a Biologist - Remote Desktop Analyst Coordinator to join our Impact Assessment Environmental Clearance team. This remote, full-time, fixed-term position is based in the Western US, ideally California.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct desktop reviews for environmental clearance, utilizing biological and water resource expertise.
• Perform environmental constraints analysis to determine necessary avoidance and minimization measures for compliance.
• Complete assignments following ERM's management standards.
• Collaborate with team members, follow processes, and suggest improvements.
• Process data using Microsoft Excel and learn client’s Work Management Systems.
• Adhere to ERM’s safety protocols.
• Use ArcGIS Online for desktop constraints analysis, understanding resource layers and map interpretation.

Requirements:

• BA/BS or Master’s in a natural science discipline.
• At least 2 years of field experience in California habitats, preferably Southern California.
• Ability to pass a client background check.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and online data systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with GPS technologies and map interpretation.
• Valid driver’s license.

The annual pay range is $59,094 – $71,763, with potential bonus eligibility. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), and more, for benefits-eligible employees.
