Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Technical Operations Director to lead the Wilmington Biotech facility's Technical Operations Department on the Site Leadership Team.

You will shape the strategic manufacturing/technical roadmap, drive commercialization readiness, and ensure compliance, safety, and reliable supply. Reporting to the Executive Director, Biologics Technical Organization, you will oversee Process Engineering, Site and Process Validation, Technical Operations support, and Technical Transfer,

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Technical Operations team with a strong quality culture and employee development.
• Own resource planning, budget, and day-to-day management to meet targets.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and R&D on pipeline and product introductions.
• Oversee technology transfer, process validation, and lifecycle management of cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic products.
• Develop and implement operating policies, procedures, and governance for compliant, on-time delivery.
