Job summary

Catalent, Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist – Process Development to support development and optimization of biologic manufacturing processes.

You will execute seed train scale‑up, bioreactor operations, and protein purification while applying DoE and statistics to improve process performance in a GMP environment. Join a fast-paced, client‑driven team and collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure successful tech transfers and delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 1–3 years of related experience in biologics.
• Ability to execute laboratory procedures of moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
• Hands-on experience with cell culture, bioreactors, and downstream purification.
• Experience with data analysis and DoE in GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory experiments supporting upstream process development, including cell bank vials, seed train scale-up, and bioreactor operations.
• Perform cell culture analytical methods and apply platform processes to optimize productivity and quality.
• Analyze data using DoE and standard statistical methods.
• Support downstream purification activities, including chromatography (AKTA), filtration, and TFF.
• Maintain documentation and batch production records per SOPs and GDP.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate results to meet timelines; support lab operations and 5S.
