Sanofi is seeking a Patent Counsel, Biologics in Cambridge, MA to manage patent protection for biologics programs globally. The role entails leading AI-assisted drafting, strategy, and analyses across US and international portfolios.

The candidate should have advanced biology training and US/European patent qualifications, with several years of experience in biotech IP matters and a track record of coordinating cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in biological or biochemical science; a Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
• Registered US Patent Attorney and member of at least one US State Bar, and/or qualified European Patent Attorney (EQE) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of patent law experience, gained in-house at a biopharmaceutical/biotech company or at a life sciences law firm.
• Hands-on experience handling complex biologics IP matters (antibodies, nucleic acids, enzymes, etc.).
• Ability to independently manage patent drafting through grant.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, draft, file, and prosecute US, EPO, and foreign patent applications across biotech areas.
• Interact with R&D, PM, Business Development, and other teams to provide IP counselling and solicit disclosures.
• Advise on IP strategy, portfolio positioning, and competitive landscape; leverage AI analytics.
• Provide patentability evaluations for internal/external programs.
• Conduct searches; render opinions on validity, non-infringement, and FTO.
