Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Biologics MSAT Co-op in Boston for January–July 2027. You will work on data analytics projects supporting biologics manufacturing, data visualization, and process monitoring as part of a cross-functional team.

The program emphasizes mentorship, flexible work options, and real project impact. You will develop skills in data workflows, dashboards, and statistical summaries, with opportunities to collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, data science, statistics, biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Excel; exposure to JMP, Minitab, Power BI, Python, or R preferred.
• Ability to organize, clean, analyze, and clearly present complex datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-directed with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Compile, clean, organize, and analyze manufacturing, process, and product quality data from multiple sources.
• Develop repeatable data workflows, dashboards, visualizations, and statistical summaries.
• Perform trend analyses to identify process variability, signals, and improvement opportunities.
• Support development and maintenance of data analytics tools and reporting approaches for Biologics MSAT.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate questions into analytical work plans and communicate results.
