Job summary

Vertex Biologics MSAT Co-Op is a 6-month experiential training program for students pursuing a BS or MS in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, data science, statistics, biology, chemistry, or related fields. You will work on data analytics within Biologics MSAT and manufacturing teams.

As a co-op, you will develop data workflows, dashboards, and analyses to monitor processes and support data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, data science, statistics, biology, chemistry, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data in Microsoft Excel; exposure to JMP, Minitab, Power BI, Python, or R preferred.
• Ability to organize, clean, analyze, and present complex datasets clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong time-management and self-direction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Biologics MSAT and cross-functional partners on data analytics projects supporting manufacturing and commercialization.
• Compile, clean, organize, and analyze manufacturing, process, and product quality data from multiple sources.
• Develop repeatable data workflows, dashboards, visualizations, and summaries for process monitoring and investigations.
• Perform trend analyses to identify variability, signals, and improvement opportunities.
• Support development and maintenance of data analytics tools and standardized reporting for Biologics MSAT.
• Document methods, data sources, and conclusions clearly and traceably.
