Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a scientist to support the development of formulations, manufacturing processes, and testing of protein biologic drugs. This role spans from early development through commercialization, with emphasis on select agents and laboratory work in BSL-2 settings.

The candidate will apply analytical techniques for protein characterization and stability, and will advance automation, high-throughput screening, and data workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in protein formulation and characterization.
• Experience with highly potent compounds in a BSL-2 environment.
• Experience with analytical techniques for protein characterization and stability testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute formulation and process development for biologic products.
• Generate high-quality data and prepare technical/regulatory documents.
• Participate in drug product development teams and plan studies.
• Collaborate with CMC and AbbVie stakeholders to enable product development.
• Drive innovation through novel approaches and external dissemination.
• Develop and implement automation and HTS workflows to improve efficiency.
