Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Biologics MSAT Co-op to support manufacturing data analytics, enhance process understanding, and monitor performance. The role focuses on data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration in a biotech setting.

The position is a full-time, 40-hour week internship from January to July 2027, with a hybrid work arrangement based in Boston. Strong analytical, communication, and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, data science, statistics, biology, or chemistry
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with Excel
• Exposure to JMP, Minitab, Power BI, Python or R preferred
• Capable of organizing and presenting complex data

Responsibilities

• Compile, clean, analyze manufacturing data
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and statistical summaries
• Identify process variability and opportunities for improvement
• Support analytic tool development
• Document methods and collaborate across functions including Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Development
