Job summary

MSD in the United States is seeking a Biologics Conjugation Commercialization Senior Scientist to lead lab startup, establish scalable conjugation models, and drive process characterization for late-stage biologics. You will manage lab operations and partner with program teams to deliver safe, compliant capabilities.

The role requires advanced degrees and extensive experience in chemical engineering or related fields, strong leadership, risk management, and hands-on experience with GMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field with six (6) years of relevant industry experience. OR
• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field with four (4) years of relevant industry experience. OR
• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field with a no minimum relevant knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Scientific Engagement: establish lab scale down models for portfolio.
• Lab Operations Leadership: lead daily lab operations and metrics.
• Asset Reliability and Capability Leadership: startup capital assets and maintenance.
• Compliance, Safety, and Process Safety Leadership: ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with internal and external teams.
• Project Management: prioritize and deliver objectives on tight timelines.
• Recognition: foster a culture of appreciation.
• Innovation: lead business improvement initiatives.
