Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in Early Bioprocess Development to support conjugation process development for glycoconjugate vaccines. You will contribute to method development, purification and analysis of intermediates and glycoconjugates, documenting work to cGMP/GLP standards and presenting data within a compliant framework.

The position requires a BS/MS in chemistry-related fields and 3–6 years (or 0–4 years for MS) of relevant lab experience, with strong organic chemistry

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry or related discipline with 3–6 years laboratory experience or MS degree with 0–4 years experience.
• Strong background in organic chemistry is required.
• Knowledge and ability to operate and maintain relevant instruments and execute analytical methods.
• Independently analyze and provide conclusions from experimental data.

Responsibilities

• Support development, optimization and scale-up of glycoconjugate vaccine process development.
• In process analysis of glycoconjugates and intermediates.
• Evaluate each process for robustness, propose improvements in discussions with team.
• Collaborate with Vaccine Research and Development groups.
• Assist technology transfer to clinical manufacturing sites and provide technical support.
• Fully document experiments in electronic notebook and prepare technical reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
