Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Scientist, Biologics Characterization to enable deeper understanding of biologics using mass spectrometry and biophysical methods. You will design and execute characterization studies, analyze data, and prepare technical reports to support process development, comparability, stability, and regulatory submissions.

You will develop expert knowledge in platforms like LC‑MS, peptide mapping, intact mass, and glycan analysis while collaborating with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a relevant sciences field with emphasis on analytical development or proteomics.
• Hands-on experience in a lab with biologics characterization techniques.
• Experience with LC‑MS, peptide mapping and glycan analysis is preferred.
• Strong data interpretation and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, plan, execute, analyze, and report biologics characterization experiments.
• Apply LC‑MS, peptide mapping, glycan analysis, HPLC/UPLC and related methods.
• Prepare technical reports, method documents, and data summaries for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate results to stakeholders.
