Job summary

Catalent’s Kansas City facility seeks a Group Leader, Analytical Characterization, Biologics to guide a sub-team of junior scientists and serve as a technical expert on projects. You will act as a liaison between teams, mentor associates, and support client audits and visits.

The role focuses on analytical activities for Biopharma product development under cGMP regulatory guidance for large molecules and biologics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with more than 4 years of relevant experience in department-specific techniques.
• Master’s degree with more than 2 years of relevant experience in department-specific techniques.
• Doctorate degree with more than 1 year of relevant experience in department-specific techniques.
• Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent may be considered in place of external experience.
• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk and lift 0-40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, organize, and execute analytical work in the laboratory according to client contracts and technical agreements.
• Ensure cGMP practices are implemented and followed by the team and self.
• Adopt safe working practices in the laboratory and comply with SOPs and safety legislation.
• Establish and maintain technical communications with other groups and clients as needed.
• Carry out performance reviews and HR activities such as time entry approval, PTO approval, and salary adjustments.
• Maintain team engagement and foster a learning and growth culture.
• Advocate and model Catalent’s culture of quality, safety, and ethics.
• All other duties as assigned.
