Axle is seeking a Biological Scientist to join our team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on developing novel therapeutics for tuberculosis and related diseases, coordinating drug screening projects and communicating progress with collaborators.

You will perform high-throughput screening, molecular biology studies, and train staff in BSL-3 laboratory procedures while

Competenze

• Professional knowledge of theories, principles and methods in biology, microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology and biochemistry.
• Proficiency with basic software tools used in a lab environment.
• Master's degree in a science-related field (preferred).

Mansioni

• Coordinate screening projects, establish deadlines and monitor progress.
• Prepare status reports and share results with collaborators.
• Coordinate compound delivery and track shipments domestically and internationally.
• Perform HTS against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in BSL-3 lab.
• Develop SOPs and training materials for drug screening projects.
