Job summary

A leading scientific services provider is seeking a Senior Scientist - Histology Technician to support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This role involves providing histology services, conducting molecular pathology experiments, and operating in a BSL-4 laboratory. A B.S. in a relevant field and 3 years of laboratory experience are required. Benefits include health insurance and paid leave. Flexibility to work weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years work in a histology laboratory.
• Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a BSL-4 setting with select agents.

Responsibilities

• Provide histology services to support animal studies.
• Conduct histology, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization protocols.
• Assist in developing SOPs for new assays and technologies.
