Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Bioinformatician to provide centralized computational support across Obstetrics and Gynecology. You will build and maintain workflows for analysis of large-scale genomic datasets, apply ML methods, and contribute to diverse research efforts in women's health.

This role emphasizes reproducibility, collaboration with PIs and clinicians, data management, and development of tools for access to clinical and sample data, with on-site work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
• An advanced degree may substitute for experience if directly related.
• Three years of data management and bioinformatic analyses experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PIs and stakeholders in bioinformatics and data analysis.
• Perform data management, bioinformatic and ML analyses.
• Develop computational tools to access clinical and sample data.
• Build and maintain pipelines for multi-omics datasets (transcriptome, epigenome, proteome, microbiome).
• Develop imaging data pipelines (H&E, multiplexed immunofluorescence).
• Integrate data from multiple sources to accelerate discoveries.
• Assist with design and development of major bioinformatics projects.
• Write custom scripts to access databases and analyze data.
• Develop tools or packages for PIs and collaborators.
• Identify bioinformatic/data management solutions independently.
• Identify AI/ML tools and frameworks including LLMs for projects.
• Provide biostatistical/data science expertise in study design and analysis.
