Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting seeks a Truck Logistics Specialist to manage inbound raw materials and outbound biodiesel products at a 24/7 biodiesel plant. You will serve as the main liaison among loading racks, drivers, carriers, and production planning, ensuring on-time movements and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in chemical, fuel, or agricultural logistics, ideally in a 24/7 plant environment.
  • Strong understanding of bulk tanker scheduling and inventory control.
  • Proficiency with TMS and ERP systems (TopTech, RightAngle).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for driver and stakeholder reporting.
  • High school diploma; associates or bachelor’s in SCM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule bulk tankers inbound and outbound following OTIFA guidelines.
  • Coordinate with plant operations to align shipping with production capacity.
  • Enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations for all carriers.
  • Use TMS/ERP software to monitor shipment status, create BOLs, and update inventory.
  • Coordinate with carriers to optimize loading racks and minimize demurrage.
  • Troubleshoot disruptions and maintain uptime with rapid decisions.
