Job summary

Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. seeks a seasoned Fleet Manager to oversee maintenance, driver supervision, and dispatch operations for a compact fleet of 10–25 trucks. This leadership role drives performance, safety, and compliance for daily operations in a growing biodiesel company.

You will hire and terminate drivers, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company policies while optimizing efficiency through advanced tracking and dispatch tools.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Fleet Management experience.
• 5 years of Driver Management experience.
• Experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial trucks.
• Experience with hiring, onboarding, and terminations.
• Knowledge of tracking and dispatch software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with drivers and mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage heavy truck preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Prioritize and follow up with mechanics in the fleet truck shop.
• Supervise DOT, HUT, and IFTA books and records for fleet audits.
• Supervise dispatching and manage 10–25 drivers and trucks daily.
• Hiring, Firing and direct management of all drivers and repair staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
• Support operational efficiency and driver performance.
• Utilize tracking and dispatch software to monitor fleet activity.
