Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Process Technician I to oversee the safe operation of biodiesel plant equipment and to lead in daily plant activities. You will follow run sheets, troubleshoot issues, and generate daily reports for management.

The role requires reading and following simple instructions in English, maintaining logs, and supporting HS&E goals. Year-round shifts include a 7-on/7-off cycle and 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions using basic Microsoft tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee startup, operation, and shutdown of plant areas.
• Follow run sheets and troubleshoot issues with daily management reports.
• Monitor and log operating conditions and equipment performance.
• Provide leadership in professionalism and ethics across the plant.
