Canyon Labs in Rochester, NY is seeking a Scientist – Toxicology & Biocompatibility to manage in vitro studies and bring new testing in-house to expand our toxicology offerings.

You will develop and validate in vitro assays, prepare GMP/GLP protocols, supervise technicians, and maintain lab operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The position requires a science degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with daily laboratory responsibilities and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, understand and operate laboratory equipment.
• Experience with laboratory techniques.

Responsabilités

• Perform sample log-in, inspection, test status and billing.
• Conduct routine testing per work instructions and SOPs.
• Identify and determine the disposition of non-conforming product.
• Develop, qualify, and validate novel in vitro assays that align with regulatory requirements.
• Update reporting forms and other documentation to incorporate new testing and align with industry best practices.
• Prepare, review, and approve GMP and GLP protocols and reports.
• Review and approve data generated by other operations personnel.
• Provide basic interpretation of routine analytical data.
• Develop, validate and document new methods.
• Supervise or direct assigned technicians on a project basis.
