Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Laboratory Technician on its Irvine campus. The role involves hands-on in vitro and in vivo testing to support non-clinical studies and regulatory submissions. You will work in a fast-paced lab, handling small animals and preparing samples under supervision.

Requirements include an associate degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Overtime and occasional weekend rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in biology, veterinary science, animal science, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of in vitro and in vivo testing experience in academic or industry settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine laboratory tests under close supervision of Laboratory Supervisor and Study Directors.
• Conduct biology laboratory testing in in vitro area (cytotoxicity, hemolysis, coagulation, cell counts, genotoxicity).
• Perform in vivo biological assays using small animals (mouse, rabbit, guinea pig) per ISO 10993.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents, and solutions; calibrate and operate standard lab equipment.
• Record results, organize data, and support investigations; assist with method validation and SOP adherence.
