Job summary

Elanco is seeking a QC Consultant, Biochemistry at our Elwood, Kansas site. You will act as a key technical resource within Quality Control, performing biochemistry testing and providing advanced expertise across analytical methods, investigations, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or closely related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Hands-on QC testing experience in a biochemistry or analytical laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of analytical laboratory methods and QC data interpretation.
• Ability to independently resolve complex technical problems and guide colleagues.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; able to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review biochemistry testing (in-process, release, raw-material, stability, and specialized analyses).
• Serve as SME for analytical methods, equipment, reagents, and QC data; support method validation and transfer.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, deviations, investigations, and CAPA development.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects with QA, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and other labs to meet site priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve lab processes, equipment effectiveness, training, and audit readiness.
