Job summary

Polyose Bio in Boston is seeking a PhD/MSc-level scientist to design, build, and test libraries of modular sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways. You will create experimental workflows and collect quantitative measurements using GPC, SEC, DSC, HPLC, and FTIR.

You will collaborate with Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology teams to optimize production strains, communicate results internally and externally with scientists and industry partners, and contribute to IP generation.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Material Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of research experience in academia or industry labs.
  • Skilled in organic chemistry and polymer characterization techniques.
  • Quantitative data analysis experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test libraries of modular sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways.
  • Create experimental workflows and collect measurements (GPC, SEC, DSC, HPLC, FTIR).
