Job summary

Augusta University seeks a Research Assistant in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology group (MCG) to support ongoing cancer-related research. Under the PI, you will culture established and primary cells, assist with proteomics and nucleic acid workflows, and help with data collection and protocol management.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor’s or associate degree with lab experience, strong documentation and teamwork skills, and willingness to work with mouse models as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's with relevant lab experience as described.
• Experience with cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques is preferred.
• Experience in a research or clinical setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory work supporting ongoing research projects.
• Manage day-to-day lab activities: ordering, inventory, reagents, and equipment.
• Analyze and present data verbally and in writing; follow protocols and ensure compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
