Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Research Assistant in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology group to support the Principal Investigator and lab team in cancer biology research.

The role involves cell culture, proteomics (western-blot, ELISA), DNA/RNA work, PCR, immunocytochemistry, data collection, and collaboration with staff. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with related lab experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with lab research or clinical experience.
• Experience in a research setting and knowledge of bioscience methods.
• Background in cell culture, molecular biology or biochemistry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical work in support of ongoing research projects.
• Manage day-to-day laboratory activities including ordering and inventory.
• Analyze and present data following project guidelines and protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
