Augusta University is seeking a Research Associate at the GCC-Georgia Cancer Center in Augusta, GA. The role involves mammalian cell culture, project planning, and performing a range of molecular biology experiments under the supervision of the PI.

The candidate will manage supplies, assist with protocol development, and participate in meetings to discuss results and future directions. A strong background in chemistry/biology with relevant research experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field with research/clinical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field with a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience.

Responsabilités

• Participate in project planning and development of research protocols.
• Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments including animal work, genotyping, real-time PCR, Western blot and immunohistochemistry.
• Coordinate literature review and present findings at meetings.
• Maintain laboratory records, inventory and compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist PI with procurement, equipment maintenance, and daily lab operations.
