Job summary

Acorn Biolabs is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Level II to support biobanking, cell culture, and product manufacturing in Irvine. You will work across upstream and downstream biomanufacturing and contribute to R&D and commercial operations.

Responsibilities include retrieving samples from LN2 storage, handling ISO‑7/ISO‑5 cleanrooms, maintaining batch records, and performing QC assays per SOPs. Experience with cryopreservation, LIS data entry, and GLP compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent laboratory experience)
• 1–2 years of experience in commercial laboratory, biobanking, cell culture, Biomanufacturing or biospecimen processing (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Upstream and Downstream Biomanufacturing: retrieve samples from LN2, plate hair follicle samples in ISO‑7/ISO‑5, monitor cell cultures, harvest media, prepare diluents, perform filling, inspect and seal vials, maintain batch records and LIS data
• Biobanking and Cryopreservation: collect, analyze, cryopreserve samples in ISO‑7/ISO‑5, transfer samples to/from LN2, maintain LN2 supply, document deviations, support SOPs and QA improvements
