Job summary

Orion Project Services, in Irvine, CA, seeks a Scientist I – Formulation & Process Development to support protein biologics from early development through commercialization. You will perform hands-on formulation experiments, lyophilization, and drug-product manufacturing tasks to generate high-quality data guiding development decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a BS with 3+ years or an MS with 2+ years in pharmaceutics or biotech, with hands-on experience in biologics formulation and related

Qualifications

• BS with 3+ years or MS with 2+ years in pharmaceutics or biotechnology.
• Hands-on biologics formulation and drug-product manufacturing experience.
• Experience with neurotoxins or potent compounds in BSL-2 laboratory desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute formulation and drug product process development for sterile liquids, lyophilized, and pre-filled dosage forms.
• Manufacture drug product formulation batches for evaluating formulation stability and/or animal studies.
• Conduct clinical in-use studies to guide dose solution administration.
• Perform analytical testing and characterization of biologic samples, assessing critical quality attributes to support formulation and process decisions.
• Interpret results from multistage experiments and propose relevant new experiments.
• Document experimental procedures, results, and interpretations in notebooks and reports to meet regulatory standards.
• Generate high-quality data and prepare formulation data summaries, technical reports, and presentations.
• Participate in evaluation and improvement of technologies and equipment for formulation and process development.
