Job summary

Novartis’s Biologics Research Center in Cambridge, MA seeks a scientifically driven Research Scientist II to advance biologic drug candidates. The role emphasizes antibody characterization by Biacore and other binding methods, with exposure to ELISA and cellular binding assays.

The candidate will develop Biacore methods, analyze data, and present findings within the Bioanalytics team. Collaboration and scientific drive are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• MS or equivalent in biology, chemistry or pharmacology or related field.
• Direct experience in antibody characterization by surface plasmon resonance (Biacore).
• Background in binding characterization using other approaches (Fortebio, Kinexa, flow cytometry, LigandTracer) and ELISA is desirable.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic data analysis to interpret experiments across assays.
• Collaborate across teams and train junior associates as needed.
• Present research findings and contribute to lab meetings.
• Communicate effectively to drive project objectives.
