Job summary

MSD is seeking a Bioanalytical Associate Scientist to independently execute high-throughput bioanalytical assays and support method validation. The role involves leading multi-panel testing, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring GDP/GLP/GCLP compliance in a laboratory setting.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in biology or chemistry with 4+ years of industry experience; a Master's degree is a plus. BSL-2 training is required, and proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on biological sample testing or reagent/assay development in industry preferred; academic acceptable.
• Experience with immunoassays/ligand-binding assays highly preferred.
• BSL-2 training required; GLP/GCLP training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute sample analysis and method validation assays with guidance from the BPI.
• Lead analysis in multi-panel testing and oversee junior analysts.
• Perform lot qualification of assay reagents and data analysis.
• Provide training and mentoring on assay execution and GDP/GLP/GCLP practices.
• Ensure documentation compliance and review records for GDP/GLP/GCLP.
• Lead lab maintenance, inventory, and safety adherence.
• Communicate results and issues clearly to stakeholders.
