Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. offers the Future Talent Program internship in Regulated Bioanalytical Sciences. The role focuses on developing and optimizing automated 384-well ligand-binding assays and miniaturizing assays from 96- to 384-well formats, using laboratory automation to enhance throughput.

Collaborate with scientists across automation and assay development, gain experience in regulated clinical research settings, and present findings at a summer internship symposium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory environment and basic techniques (pipetting, solution prep).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in a team setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute lab experiments to support miniaturization of LBAs from 96-well to 384-well format.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations to optimize assay performance.
• Collaborate with automation, bioanalytical, and assay development teams to advance project objectives.
• Prepare technical summaries and presentations of project findings.
• Present outcomes at the end-of-summer intern symposium.
