Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. in Mattawan, MI is seeking a Research Analyst I in Bioanalytical Chemistry. The role involves supporting quantitative analyses of drug compounds in biofluids, method development, data interpretation and reporting in GxP contexts.

The position requires a BA/BS degree, strong communication skills, experience with LC/MS/MS preferred, and flexibility to work extended hours. The pay is $23.50 per hour, with comprehensive benefits discussed by the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; no prior work experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with LC/MS/MS preferred; basic MS Office skills expected.
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and extra shifts on short notice.
• Ability to work under time constraints and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform and document procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisor, and team.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and labeling/solution preparation.
• Maintain study-specific inventory of consumables under oversight.
• Document deviations and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Develop troubleshooting and time-management skills for the operational area.
• Assist in execution of routine sample analysis studies and method validation projects.
• Operate laboratory instruments with oversight.
• Assist with data analysis in appropriate software for at least one platform.
