Job summary

Louisiana Blue is seeking a skilled Bindery Technician to provide bindery and finishing services across the printing operations. The role reports to the Manager of Printing Services and involves transforming job tickets into prepared setups on all bindery equipment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and several years of experience in high-volume printing, with preference for printing and binding training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Five years of high-volume printing experience preferred.
• Printing/binding vocational/technical training preferred.
• Working knowledge of departmental equipment, paper and chemicals.
• Able to troubleshoot routine equipment problems.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ensure project quality and cost effectiveness.
• Research and clarify project specifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create job tickets in Pace Print Mgt system and record actual time on jobs.
• Translate job ticket data to align, draw out, set up and run all bindery equipment for production and quality.
• Perform regular maintenance on all press equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Comply with laws and regulations relevant to duties; work environment is standard office with normal noise.
