Job summary

Walsworth-Eau Claire is seeking a dependable Bindery - Operator II to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain binding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Equipment includes Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders.

The role requires following written procedures, meeting production schedules, and assisting in training new operators while ensuring accuracy and quality. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months in a Bindery role.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to meet production schedules.
  • Read and follow job instructions and company procedures.
  • Communicate with shift personnel for smooth transitions.
  • Assist in training new Bindery Operators and monitor quality.

Walsworth-Eau Claire is looking for talented individuals like you to join their growing team!We are hiring for the following full-time shifts:Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Five 8-hour shifts)Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with sound attention to detail.Job Summary:As a Bindery - Operator II you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment. The equipment operated includes, but is not limited to: Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders.Required Systems/Applications:AS400 or MonarchEssential Functions:Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.Maintain accurate counts.Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.Assist in training new Bindery Operators.Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.All other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.Ability to work required overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.May require specific vision abilities that include close vision.May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.Minimum Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 6 months in a Bindery roleABOUT USWalsworth-Eau Claire (formerly known as Documation LLC) has been producing quality printed solutions in the Chippewa Valley for the past thirty years, serving a nationwide client base specializing in print automation, sophisticated binding solutions, and distribution services for our customer’s print programs.
