Job summary

Walsworth is seeking a Bindery - Operator II to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain binding equipment. The role is a 4-day week with a 10-hour shift from 2:45pm to 1am, potentially Fridays 1pm–9pm, located in Ripon, Wisconsin.

You will work with Monarch systems, read and apply procedures, and aim to meet production schedules. You may train new operators and contribute to process improvements while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months in a Bindery role or similar.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot binding equipment per procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Bindery - Operator II you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable binding equipment. This position is 4 days a week for a 10 hour shift from 2:45pm to 1am with possible work on Fridays 1pm to 9pm.

Essential Functions:

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
• Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
• Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
• Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
• Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
